The leading European supplier of refurbished Applied Materials, Lam Research and Novellus Systems equipment Point 35 Microstructures Limited, has entered in a new joint venture to create Parabilis Technology. Parabilis will offer semiconductor manufacturing fabs and alternative supply for spare parts and materials.
“As fabs increasingly seek to reduce operating costs, their needs are increasing for the reliable supply of authentic parts at reducing prices,” said Gerry MacNeill MD of Parabilis. “We are able to engage with our customers at a technical level per system type, and to identify where they can reduce costs and increase profitability”
“Having a sister company who can secure sources and lines of supply is strategic for Point 35” said Tony McKie, Sales Director. “Our customers select Point 35 to ensure high quality systems solutions at value pricing, and it is a natural progression for them to continue that strategy once the systems are into production and need to be sustained. Parabilis offers them that capability with a high level of service.”
Customer reaction has already been very positive, with several fabs beginning to build parts programmes and sourcing agreements directly with Parabilis.
